Amanda
plays a Camac Little Big Blue electro/acoustic pedal harp in a
special zebrano finish
Born in Cardiff, Amanda began studying the harp at the age of six.
At 16 she obtained a specialist scholarship to study at Wells Cathedral
Music School with Ann Griffiths, and went on to win the National
Eisteddfod and the Nansi Richards Scholarship. Her studies continued
with Caryl Thomas at Cardiff University.
As a soloist, she has performed
at The Purcell Rooms, London and St. David's Hall, Cardiff
as well as being in demand for session work and recordings across
the UK.
In 2004 she supported jazz artist Jamie Cullum resulting
in audience member Dannii Minogue inviting Amanda to arrange and
record her Australian Christmas single in 2006. Amanda is currently
working on a new CD and performing with Jazz Trio Zwzaz as well as
being the resident harpist for the Ryder Cup 2010.
